Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU Main

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full Time – 40 Hours; Evenings; 11:00am – 9:30pm (10-hour shifts) four shifts per week; On call shift requirements- 2 on call weekend shifts per 6-week schedule is required.

Here’s What You Need

  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program
  • BSN preferred
  • Two-years of experience as a registered nurse in PACU, ICU, Telemetry or Surgical inpatient preferred
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Upon Hire Pref And
  • ONS - Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate Upon Hire Pref

What You Will Do

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
